Your mindset affects your experiences.
Choose to be happy.
You take yourself wherever you go.

Can you remember a time that you were happy about something, and that day things were just falling into place for you? That can happen every day, but you need to decide in the morning when you get up that you want to be happy. Happiness is not a feeling that is outside yourself. Happiness is a bubble inside you, and it can pop up at any time when things fall into place for you. That is why you think that circumstances and experiences give you happiness. However, what if you decide not to wait for the things and experiences and feel the happiness before it happens? Then you would feel the happiness regardless.

How do I do that, you may ask. My advice is, fake it till you make it. Start with the small things. Make a list of the things that you would not want to give up in your life right now, things or situations you are happy about and would not want to lose. Let yourself be grateful for those things. Take a moment and appreciate them. Focus on the feeling. Then you feel the emotion and think about things that you want to happen in your life. Think and imagine how it would feel if you already had those things in your life right now. Concentrate on the feeling, don’t let your mind get involved just feel the emotions in your body. In your chest area or your stomach area and concentrate on it. Now grow that feeling bigger. It is your feelings you can do with it what you want. Now keep it there. Let it ebb and flow and play with the emotions as if it is water in a container and you move it around.

Do this exercise at least once a day, until you can access that feeling of happiness without effort.
Take this feeling with you wherever you go. You will start to see how things change for you. You might find people react differently to you. You will find that you start experiencing good things and soon you find that things fall into place for you without obstacles getting in the way. Then you start going about your day, trusting that things always work out for you.

That is how you do this. Be happy for no reason. What better way to go through your day. Avoid negative people as much as you can and have a little mantra that you teach yourself to use in your head when you have to deal with those people.

You will find that happiness becomes a way of life for you. Bad things do happen to happy people, but you will find that you bounce back so much more natural from setbacks and in the end, you see that things always work out for you anyway. You will find that the disappointments don’t feel so devastating and in the long run, there was a better outcome waiting for you.
